Cholera:-
Cholera is a primarily epidemic contagious disease caused by the bacterial agent
Vibrio cholerae. Symptoms usually begin with diarrhea and, unless treated, often
lead to death. As late as the early 20th Century, cholera was one of the most
virulent epidemic diseases in the Western world and it is still a significant
problem in Asia. The infection centers in the small intestine and symptoms include
vomiting, cramps, diarrhea, and significant and dangerous loss of fluid (with
accompanying electrolyte loss).
